What does GHK-Cu do?
What is GHK-Cu?
GHK-Cu is also called Copper Tripeptide-1 is a complex composed of three amino acids and a copper ion. This complex can effectively promote the production of collagen and elastin, increase blood vessel growth and antioxidant capacity.
Tripeptide-1 is the dermal growth promoting factor (GHK), which exists naturally in human blood. It is a signal peptide that acts on the dermis and can promote the synthesis of extracellular matrix such as collagen and glycosaminoglycans, strengthen the dermis, and make the skin thicker and firmer.
Copper ions (copper) are essential elements for organisms, whether animals or plants. Copper deficiency in the human body can cause anemia, hair abnormalities, bone and artery abnormalities, and even brain disorders. Copper is an essential trace element in the human body and plays an important role in the human body's metabolism.
Effects of GHK-Cu
Remove scars and wrinkles, repair skin damage, promote the transport of important trace elements such as copper ions, promote the synthesis of normal collagen in healthy skin, help reshape the skin, and revitalize aging skin. Copper peptides are derived from the complex GHK-Cu in human blood. Due to the high affinity of divalent copper ions, it can obtain GHK tripeptide from carrier molecules such as albumin and complex it to form GHK-Cu. When GHK-Cu is injected into the skin or applied to the skin surface, GHK-Cu promotes the formation of new tissues in damaged areas and the removal of old tissue layers. GHK-Cu can induce the second stage of treatment, which is to remove scars and renew the skin during skin remodeling to rebuild healthy skin.
Skin remodeling is to remove aging proteins and elderly cells from the skin, so it has the effect of eliminating skin scars, lesions, and wrinkles, thereby achieving the effects of smoothing the skin, removing wrinkles, and anti-aging.
Skin remodeling is very active in young people, but it declines rapidly after the age of 20, so through skin remodeling, young skin can be produced.
Stimulate the formation of collagen and elastin, tighten the skin, and reduce wrinkles. Restore skin repair and reduce skin damage. Stimulate the formation of glucosamine, increase skin thickness and reduce skin sagging.
2000ppm GHK-Cu aqueous solution, our company's color is darker blue, and the stability in liquid will be more outstanding.
As shown in the above picture, compared with competing products, our GHK-Cu has obvious crystals and strong luster. |

The Benefits of Copper Tripeptide-1 on Hair
Promote hair growth
Copper tripeptide-1 has the effect of promoting hair growth by stimulating hair follicles, thereby promoting hair growth.
Reduce hair loss
Research has shown that copper tripeptide-1 can effectively reduce hair loss, especially in the treatment of androgenic alopecia.
Improve scalp health
Copper tripeptide-1 can also improve scalp health, with significant effects on issues such as oily scalp, itching, and dandruff.
Other potential benefits
In addition to the clear benefits mentioned above, copper tripeptide-1 may also have various effects such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and promoting wound healing.
Mass Spectrometry and HPLC Spectra
In the mass spectrometry test, our copper peptide has no residue of raw material GHK (GHK molecular weight is 340), only blue copper peptide mass spectrum peak. This shows that the complexation is thorough and there is no impurity residue. The purity can reach 99.5%+ after HPLC analysis.

GHK-Cu Incompatibility
Name | Influencing factors |
Protease | Copper peptides are easily enzymatically hydrolyzed |
Too acidic or too alkaline | Too low (salicylic acid, lactic acid, mandelic acid, lactobionic acid, azelaic acid, pure VC, pure VA) or too high (soap-based emulsifier) pH can lead to the decomposition of GHK-Cu to release copper ions, discoloration, and loss of function. |
Chelating agents such as EDTA | Chelating agents have strong metal chelating ability, snatching copper ions from copper peptides and chelating copper ions from copper peptides. Changes in copper coordination compounds will change the color of their aqueous solutions. |
Caprylhydroxamic acid (CHA) | It is a special organic acid (similar to most acids) that can compete with GHK for copper ions to form a more stable copper complex (its aqueous solution appears green). |
Carbomer Plasma Polymer | Carbomer, sodium polyglutamate and some commonly used anionic thickeners are anionic polymers that will polymerize with cationic Cu2+, destroying the copper peptide structure and causing significant discoloration, causing the copper peptide solution to change color. |
Strong reducing substances | It cannot be used with VC and VC derivatives, potassium methoxysalicylate, tranexamic acid, glabridin, and arbutin. It has strong reducing properties and is easily oxidized to dehydrogenated vitamin C. Copper will oxidize VC and its own structure will also be changed. (VC is stable in an acidic environment. When it encounters oxygen, heat, light, alkaline substances in the air, especially when there are oxidases and trace amounts of metal ions such as copper and iron, it can promote its oxidative destruction.) |
Niacinamide | Nicotinamide contains a certain amount of niacin, which can compete with GHK for copper ions (due to the low niacin content in niacinamide, the color change may be slow, depending on its hydrochloric acid content) |
Other raw materials that are easy to change color and should not be compounded | Centella asiatica extract, serine, sodium metabisulfite, thiolactic acid, sodium sulfide, carnosine, highly ionic plants, etc. |
